got this to expand handsets for my (corded & cordless combination) DECT KX-TGA1062M system; while Panasonic is always my first choice for phone systems because of the features and quality, the call clarity on this system could be better. Also, in my opinion this handset is a bit overpriced.
Good buy. Works better than some not as good as others.

Good buy. Works better than some not as good as others. However, this was half the price on Amazon than it was at their competitors. Good buy and works satisfactory too.

About a year ago we purchased the Panasonic KX-TG1062 (corded base unit w/2 handets) which turned out to be one of the best decisions my wife and I have recently made. Originally we were just looking to replace a unit that was starting to die and we just wanted a corded base unit with an answering machine and two handsets. Once we got it we learned that the unit could call block up to 10 numbers and that each handset was a speaker phone. So without getting up from your chair you could listen to who was calling (in case you didn't recognize the incoming number on the caller -id) and then decide if you wanted to pick up. We were impressed with everything about the system we decided to add two more handsets. They are extremely easy to program and to get the base unit to recognize them. I would strongly recommend this product.

I bought by 70-year-old mother the system this phone goes with. She now has a phone in strategic locations in case something happes, she does not need to go far to answer, etc. It worked great for her so my wife and I got a set for our house. Works great, the sound quality is excellent, the range is really good, the features are relatively high-end. The only complaint that I have is about the answering machine. I cannot find a way (so I do not think there is one) to make it beep when there is a message. There is a light that comes on, but there is no audible warning. Copying the address book around from base to each phone is handy.
Overall, great system, would defintely recommend it for a land-line. |

The most outstanding feature of this phone is the abilty to block calls, both the anonymous kind and specific numbers. I was attracted by the multiple handsets that came with the main phone and the ability to add additional handsets to have handsets throughout the house without the need to carry one around with me all the time. A definite plus is the ability to copy saved numbers to the main phone from any handset, and from the main phone to all other handsets. The only drawback I found, and this is caused more by my old ears than anything else, is that I would prefer a higher volume setting on the main and the other handsets. Compared to the other plusses this phone offers, however, the volume issue is minor.
